NON will narrate the program “Zekkei no Sanriku o Hashiru ~ Fukkō o Tadoru Mikka-kan 130 Kiro ~” to be broadcast on NHK BS on Sunday, March 9.

The race was held in Sanriku, Iwate, where reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake is progressing, and involved running 130 kilometers over three days. Starting from Jodogahama in Miyako City, the runners, utilizing the railroad as well, headed for the final goal, the “Miracle Pine Tree” in Rikuzentakata City.

Runners from all over Japan will enjoy the spectacular scenery unique to Sanriku and taste exquisite gourmet food prepared by local residents as they continue running. This race is also a journey that traces the scars of the disaster and the current state of reconstruction.
