An album containing all the performances from the “Tohoku Youth Orchestra and Director Ryuichi Sakamoto Memorial Performance,” in which NON participated in the reading, will be released on March 19.
The Tohoku Youth Orchestra, a mixed orchestra of elementary school students to university students from Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures, was started by Ryuichi Sakamoto immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
As a memorial performance for Ryuichi Sakamoto, who passed away on March 28 the previous year, the orchestra performed in Iwate on March 23, 2024, in Miyagi on March 24, in Fukushima on March 30, and in Tokyo on March 31.
Sayuri Yoshinaga and NON participated in the reading corner.
NON read from “Ippongino” and “Winter and the Galaxy Stasion” by Kenji Miyazawa.
Proceeds from the sale of this album will be used to fund activities to continue the Tohoku Youth Orchestra.
