Kanako's target is not a yakuza boss or a huge criminal organization, but “unreasonableness” that exists in our daily lives. I love comedies and have taken the lead in such films, but this is the first time for me to participate in a cynical comedy like this one. I feel that this is a new challenge for me.
It will be a tough shoot, going back and forth between comedy and grueling action, but I am happy because I love both genres. I am secretly nervous because I am going to express the profession of a hitman in a funny way, which is a very difficult task.... I will do my best to convey the entertainment value and theme of the film to the audience and make them enjoy it to the fullest.
I am looking forward to working with Taisuke Fujigaya, who plays Sakurai, and director Tsutomu Hanabusa.

How did you feel when you read the script?
It was very interesting and exciting to see how the action scenes were expanded while utilizing the gag elements and the theme of conflict and work in Toshiya Wakabayashi's original work.
The setting is interesting in that the hitman he met after leaving a company with a power-harassing boss was a white-collar worker. Could we take the black humor that was established in the pop world depicted by Wakabayashi and express it beyond the rawness of the live action? Will I be able to do it in a way that conveys this fun? I am also nervous.
I will do my best to convey the fun of the story that will make viewers' hearts skip a beat.

・How do you feel about the character you play?
This film is full of fun and exciting scenes, but Kanako, the character I am playing, faces and struggles with various issues about her work, her daily life, and her own way of being. Even so, I am encouraged and energized by the way she finds her purpose in her job as an assassin and runs with it. It's a little strange. What does it mean to live for yourself or for others? I would like to play Kanako's life as a hitman, which confronts her with the question, "What is it to live for oneself or for others?
