Based on the true story of Junko Tabei, one of Japan's greatest female mountaineers, the film “Teppen no Mukou ni Anata ga Iru” depicts on a grand scale her heroic life, from her first ascent of Everest, to her battle with illness in her later years, to her death just before her death despite being told she had little time to live, Teppeno no Mukou ni Anata ga Iru" will be released nationwide on Friday, October 31, 2025, the 50th anniversary of Junko Tabei's feat of becoming the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest.
