The film “Teppen no Mukou ni Anata ga Iru,” (Director: Junji Sakamoto, Starring: Sayuri Yoshinaga), featuring NON, has been selected for the Official Selection of the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival, held in the Basque Country in northern Spain.

The San Sebastián International Film Festival, Spain's largest international film festival, runs from Friday, September 19th to Saturday, September 27th. Since its founding in 1953, it has a history of introducing numerous masterpieces to the world. It is internationally acclaimed as one of Europe's premier film festivals, alongside Cannes, Venice, and Berlin.

At this festival, which annually gathers filmmakers and actors from around the world, this film will receive its world premiere as the story of “Tabe of the World,” ahead of its Japanese release. Director Junji Sakamoto, actor Ryuya Wakaba, and Shinya Tabei, son of the real-life Junko Tabei who inspired the character, will attend the event to bring the film to the global stage.

Furthermore, the film has been selected as the opening film for the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival, which runs from Monday, October 27th.

【STORY】
In 1975, a woman is on her way to the summit of Mount Everest. Step by step, she steadily made her way to the summit, and her name was Junko Tabe.
At 16:30 Japan time, Junko became the first woman to conquer the world's highest peak, a feat that stunned the world and cast a deep shadow over Junko as well as her friends and family.
