NON spoke at Nissui’s “Business Briefing and Tasting Event on Domestic Farmed Salmon.”

NON, now in her fourth year as the spokesperson for the “Nissui Salmon” campaign, took the stage at the “Business Briefing and Tasting Event for Domestic Farmed Salmon” held on May 27.

During the talk session, she shared her thoughts on the currently airing web commercial, discussing her impressions after seeing the finished video and recounting memorable moments from the shoot.

“I think it’s a very refreshing commercial that really captures the appeal of ‘Nissui Salmon,’” she said,
reflecting on the shoot: “The undulating fabric was striking; it felt as if I had become a salmon myself, drifting through the ocean.”

Furthermore, in connection with the launch of “Nissui Salmon,” the unified brand for domestic farmed salmon, she also spoke about “something new she’s started recently.”

“I recently started taking care of a plant,” she revealed. “My parents and younger sister all grow plants, so we send each other messages about the condition of the leaves and roots.” She described her careful routine with the plant, saying, “I’m taking really good care of it. Every morning, I open the curtains, take it out onto the balcony, and water it.”

After the talk session, a large Nissui Salmon was brought onto the stage. To commemorate her fourth year as the brand’s ambassador, a ceremony was held where President Tsuruoka presented the salmon to Non.

Additionally, chef Kasahara took the stage and prepared “Japanese-style salmon carpaccio” on the spot. Non also participated in the final steps of the preparation. “I was really looking forward to eating this,” said Non, expressing her anticipation. She sampled the finished dish and thoroughly enjoyed its delicious flavor.
