This is my first time doing a Season 2, and I was so happy to hear that the show I starred in is getting a sequel.
For me, Kanako represents my first full-fledged action role, my first time playing a hitwoman, and my first Season 2—it’s a fun drama that’s constantly breaking new ground.
I’m absolutely thrilled.
And of course, Fujigaya-senpai is absolutely, utterly cool.
His presence, the way he communicates with just his eyes, and his precise movements in the action scenes!
He’s my senior in every way—including his career—and I look up to him with genuine admiration from the bottom of my heart.
I can’t imagine anyone but Fujigaya-senpai playing Sakurai. On set, he’s still the reliable big brother everyone counts on, and I’m so grateful for that.
Regardless of age—from the young to the very mature—I’m sure everyone looks up to Fujigaya-senpai as an older brother.
Thank you so much for enjoying this wacky hitman life with us in Season 1.

When I heard about the production of Season 2, I was so happy because I’d been thinking for a while, “I definitely want to do this again!”
Filming Season 1 was so much fun and full of exciting days, so I remember my heart really racing at the thought, “I get to play Sakurai again!
I get to film with that team again! I get to go back to that time!” I’m also thrilled to be teaming up again with Non, who possesses a genius-level sensibility and overwhelming acting talent.
Everything has been ramped up compared to Season 1—it’s a show that will make you laugh and laugh, and maybe even bring a tear to your eye now and then!? It’s turned out to be an absolutely fantastic production.
I’d also love for you to check out the action scenes—we all poured our hearts and souls into them!
