“OTOBUTAI 2026: Sennyū-ji,” Featuring NON as Narrator, Takes Place; TV Special Scheduled to Air on the MBS/TBS Network on Sunday, November 22

2026.11.04

On Saturday, October 24, “OTOBUTAI 2026 Sennyū-ji” was held at Sennyū-ji Temple in Kyoto, with NON serving as the narrator on stage.

“OTOBUTAI” is a dedication concert that has been held at famous temples throughout Japan since its inception in 1989.
This year, marking its 39th edition, the event took place at Sennyū-ji—a temple with ties to the Imperial Family celebrating the 800th anniversary of its founding—where a one-night performance featuring music and dance was created around the theme of “Awa” (the space between).

NON appeared as the narrator of “A Mysterious Story Experienced by a Young Girl.”
The curtain rose quietly in the temple grounds after the rain had stopped, and as NON narrated, the sounds of the piano, jazz trumpet, ballet, singing, and the chanting of the monks blended together.

The cast includes Thomas Enko (piano), Takuya Kuroda (jazz trumpet), Fumio Kaneko, Vadim Muntagirov (ballet), the two members of CHEMISTRY (vocals), Marihiko Hara (music director), and others.

This performance is scheduled to be broadcast nationwide as a special TV program on the MBS and TBS networks starting at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 22.
It will also be streamed on TVer and MBS Video Izum.
