\u25a0OUI OU's first solo artist collaboration!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Char's 69th Year Exhibition POP UP\u201c will be held from June 11 (Tue) to 15 (Sat) to commemorate the \u201d69th ROCK year\" of Char, a guitarist who has been leading the Japanese rock scene. The exhibition will be held at the gallery \u201cINSPIRATION CULT BAR & GALLERY\u201d (2-22-3 Higashi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) in Shibuya, Tokyo, from June 11 (Tue) to 15 (Sat).<\/p>\n

The collaboration was realized at this event after zicca, Char's office, sympathized with the concept of OUI OU, an upcycling brand produced by NON!<\/p>\n

OUI OU is developed under the concept of \u201clife with guesses,\u201d where you can always spend time with your guesses, and upcycles artists' stage costumes and personal clothing into one-of-a-kind works of art by the creators.<\/p>\n

So far, two projects have been realized: \u201cNON, Imawano Kiyoshiro and Nakaido \u2018CHABO\u2019 Reichi 2022 WINTER COLLECTION\u201d and \"2023 SPRING COLLECTION @ ARABAKI ROCK FEST.<\/p>\n

This project will be the first event in which OUI OU will be the sole artist collaboration away from NON's own costumes.<\/p>\n

For this collaboration, we have added Char's favorite \u201cGamaguchi\u201d to the lineup.<\/p>\n

Also of note are the guitar straps that have been upcycled into artistic designs.<\/p>\n

More than 100 artworks, including \u201cSakosh\u201d and \u201cLip Case,\u201d which have been popular at OUI OU in the past, will be exhibited and sold at the venue.

The collaboration was realized after Char's side sympathized with the concept of upcycling brand OUI OU produced by me.<\/p>\n

I am very happy and honored that OUI OU is able to celebrate the 69 (ROCK) year of Char, a big guitarist and artist that I admire.<\/p>\n

The various outfits worn by Char during his career that have been upcycled and turned into works of art are all rock, unique, sexy, and very Char-like, and we can feel the weight of his history.
\nWith Char's ideas, we have also added a Gamaguchi bag and a guitar strap to the lineup to further emphasize OUI OU's theme of \u201cAlways be with your favorite artist\u201d.<\/p>\n

We would like to wish Char a happy ROCK year!<\/p>\n

Born June 16, 1955 in Tokyo. His real name is Hisato Takenaka, and he is the founder of ZICCA REDORDS. He is a legendary guitarist and singer-songwriter who has been a pioneer among Japanese ROCK guitarists and is still active and energetic since his debut.<\/p>\n

He debuted in 1976 and released his first album \u201cChar,\u201d which became a masterpiece in Guitar Magazine's 2020 poll of the \u201cGreatest Guitar Masterpieces of Nippon,\u201d in which his first album \u201cChar\u201d was voted first place. In 2016, he was voted No. 1 in Guitar Magazine's \u201cNippon's 100 Greatest Guitarists,\u201d a survey of professional guitarists and other music professionals. The Burgundy Mist Metalic Stratocaster 1959 Model is the first Japanese profiled model in the Fender Custom Shop.<\/p>\n

He has been developing a web-based e-commerce service for his own label, ZICCA RECORDS, and is currently developing a variety of items for his own albums, as well as for the Musical Instrument BRAND and ZICCA AX.<\/p>\n
