Saturday, September 6, at 7:00 AM, NON will appear on NHK E TV's popular program \u201cOha! Yo-i Don\u201d and perform her new song \u201cKo Usagi<\/a>\u201d for the first time.<\/p>\n

This song is a bonus track included on the 3rd full album \u2018Renarrate<\/a>\u2019, which was just released on September 3rd.<\/p>\n

In this broadcast, NON joins Koji (Koji Imada) and Big Brother Yoshi (Yoshihisa Kobayashi) for the \u201cAsa no kai\u201d and \u201cOhadon Taisou,\u201d brightening up the studio and getting everyone pumped up.<\/p>\n

\nThis song was co-written with guitarist Kei Higuchi, born from his proposal: \u201cI want to create a recording just for NON-chan and me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Below is an excerpt from the official \u201cRenarrate\u201d interview discussing \u201cKo Usagi.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kei tossed it to me saying, \u201cI want to make a bonus track-style song\u201d and \u201cI want to create a track just with NON-chan and Higuchi Kei.\u201d<\/p>\n

I thought it would be nice to have a lighthearted song like this on the album, so it ended up feeling like a playful track.<\/p>\n

The lyrics are based on the bunny from my picture book (\u201cCute na Usachan. Hige no kai\u201d).<\/p>\n

It's a story about Usa-chan wanting to be cool and searching for ways to do it. I drew her feeling lost, or pacing around in the forest going \u201cthis won't work, that won't work,\u201d making it a song about cherishing what you love and aspire to.<\/p>\n

The ending is about accepting that you have both strengths and weaknesses, even if you've only shown your strong side.<\/p>\n

The lyrics for \u201cKo Usagi\u201d are based on the character \u2018Usa-chan\u2019 from the picture book \u201cCute na Usa-chan. Hige no kai [Revised Edition],\u201d for which NON created the original concept and illustrations.<\/p>\n

This picture book tells the story of Usachan, who dreams of becoming cool, growing up while facing confusion and struggles. NON states that through the song \u201cKo Usagi,\u201d she depicts the importance of accepting all aspects of oneself\u2014both the moments of uncertainty and the strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>\n
