This marks the first time in the 27-year history of the festival that a work in the Entertainment (Fiction) category has received the top prize.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is an international film competition founded in 2000 by the German film distribution company Intermedia. It is known as an internationally prestigious award that recognizes the artistic merit of works across various genres, including television programs, commercials, and web content.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the award, comments have been received from NON and director Santa Yamagishi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25a0NON\u2019s Full Comments<\/strong><br \/>\nI am truly delighted to have received the intermedia-globe Grand Prix, the highest honor at the World Media Festival.<\/p>\n<p>For me, the role of Asuka Kunimi was an unprecedentedly pitiful, sassy, and defiant challenge.<br \/>\nI recall the days when I started by learning the rules of shogi and spent countless hours practicing how to move the pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Working on this story with Director Yamagishi, Director Tsubakimoto, the entire crew, and the wonderful cast was an incredibly enriching experience.
