The \u201cOTOBUTAI\u201d dedication concert series, which began in 1989, has been held at some of Japan\u2019s most renowned temples, including Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-dera, By\u014dd\u014d-in, and T\u014ddai-ji. This year\u2019s venue is Senny\u016b-ji, a temple with ties to the Imperial Family that is celebrating the 800th anniversary of its founding.<\/p>\n

Senny\u016b-ji, which carries on the tradition of \u201cstudying all schools of Buddhism,\u201d has long been a place where diverse forms of prayer have thrived. In homage to the temple\u2019s spirit of prayer\u2014which, despite being buffeted by the tides of history, has embraced the teachings of different sects without distinction\u2014this year\u2019s production theme is \u201cMa\u201d (the space between).<\/p>\n

It has been decided that NON will serve as the storyteller for this event.
