“How to Make Something Delicious,” a film conceived, produced, and directed by Yutaka Matsushige and starring NON, has unveiled its new cast and trailer.
Additional cast members for the drama “How to Make Something Delicious,” starring NON, have been announced, and a teaser trailer has also been released.
This original series is planned, written, and directed by Yutaka Matsushige.
It stars Yukiya Kitamura and will stream exclusively on Prime Video starting at 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3.
It has been announced that Yuno Nagao will play the younger version of Kana Osawa, portrayed by NON; Maki Sakai will play Kana’s mother, Shizuka Osawa; and Takeo Nakahara will play Kana’s grandfather, Shinji Osawa.
Furthermore, Yutaka Matsushige, who serves as the series’ producer and director, will also appear in the role of the nursing home director.
The newly released trailer begins with a scene showing the preparation of “pork sauté”—a key element of the story—and introduces the surly chef Mizuhashi (played by Yukiya Kitamura). Kana, played by Non, senses a sense of destiny when she realizes that Mizuhashi’s dish tastes exactly like her late grandfather’s pork sauté. The change in her expression subtly conveys Kana’s desire to preserve her grandfather’s recipe and the restaurant.

The trailer also carefully depicts Kana as she works tirelessly alongside her grandmother, Tomoko (played by Mariko Kaga), to revive her late grandfather’s Western-style restaurant, “Kitchen Osawa.” The trailer concludes with a heartwarming voiceover stating, “Life can be remade deliciously as many times as you like,” followed by mouthwatering footage of sizzling pork sauté—a finish that heightens anticipation for this gourmet drama.
This is this fall’s must-watch drama—one that will surely leave you wanting to share a warm meal with someone special after watching it.

≪Synopsis≫
Eiji Mizuhashi (Yukiya Kitamura), a talented chef who was fired from a prestigious restaurant following an incident, has distanced himself from others and closed himself off emotionally. He ends up working as a chef at a nursing home.
Meanwhile, Kana Osawa (NON), a director at a recipe video production company, was overcome with deep sorrow after suddenly learning of the death of her grandfather, Shinji, and the closure of “Kitchen Osawa,” the Western-style restaurant he had run and loved for many years. Kana’s grandmother, Tomoko (Mariko Kaga), left alone, had moved from her familiar home to a nursing home but had lost her will to live, spending her days in despair, unable even to enjoy her meals. Then Tomoko encountered Mizuhashi’s cooking. Moved by how delicious his dishes were, she gradually began to smile again. Furthermore, she was surprised to find that the flavor of Mizuhashi’s pork sauté was exactly the same as that of “Kitchen Osawa’s” signature dish. She immediately contacted Kana to have her confirm the taste, and Kana, too, was moved to find that it was identical to her grandfather’s. Puzzled, Kana looked into the matter and discovered that Mizuhashi had trained at the same prestigious restaurant as her grandfather. Determined to preserve her grandfather’s legacy and the restaurant, Kana and Tomoko approached Mizuhashi—who had remained emotionally distant since the incident—with a proposal.
