Today marks the finale of “Tokyo Middle 30,” starring NON. We’ve received NON’s comments following the wrap-up of filming.
Fuji TV’s Wednesday 10 p.m. drama “Tokyo Middle 30” will finally air its finale today, Wednesday, September 23, from 10:00 p.m. to 10:54 p.m.
Based on the Chinese smash hit “Nothing But Thirty” (“Thoughts of a 30-Year-Old Woman: A Shanghai Women’s Story”), this romantic drama is an original Japanese remake that portrays the “present” lives of “35-year-old women.”
It tells the story of three women who have come to Tokyo—the city of their dreams—from regional towns. As they face the realities of love, work, and family that don’t always go as planned, they search for a life true to themselves at the crossroads of life known as “age 35.”
NON played the role of Haruka Yamaji, a “best friend since high school,” alongside Maki Sakura (played by Risa Nakamura) and Kaoruko Nagano (played by Mai Fukagawa).
After about three months of filming, the cast wrapped up production ahead of the final episode’s broadcast. The last scene filmed was a particularly memorable one in the story, and when the final take was called, the set erupted in loud applause, and the cast members were presented with bouquets featuring the colors associated with their respective characters.
