The event will be held on Saturday, October 24. NON will appear as a storyteller at “OTOBUTAI 2026 Sennyū-ji,” taking place at Sennyū-ji Temple in Kyoto.

The “OTOBUTAI” dedication concert series, which began in 1989, has been held at some of Japan’s most renowned temples, including Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-dera, Byōdō-in, and Tōdai-ji. This year’s venue is Sennyū-ji, a temple with ties to the Imperial Family that is celebrating the 800th anniversary of its founding.

Sennyū-ji, which carries on the tradition of “studying all schools of Buddhism,” has long been a place where diverse forms of prayer have thrived. In homage to the temple’s spirit of prayer—which, despite being buffeted by the tides of history, has embraced the teachings of different sects without distinction—this year’s production theme is “Ma” (the space between).

It has been decided that NON will serve as the storyteller for this event. NON’s career—in which she has continued to work freely across various fields of expression, transcending the boundaries of acting, music, film, and art—truly resonates with the theme of “Awa.” Please look forward to the “Awa” that will emerge as each individual’s unique personality intertwines with the others.
