NON visited “BAI (Biblioteca e Archivio d’Impresa),” the corporate archive and library of “Max Mara” located in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Established in 2003, “BAI” is a facility that houses clothing and archival materials dating from the company’s founding to the present.

It houses a vast collection of materials—including approximately 30,000 garments dating from the brand’s founding in the 1950s to the present, as well as design sketches, fabrics, and color swatches—systematically documenting and preserving the brand’s creative legacy. During this visit, NON spent a special time experiencing the brand’s “living memory” under the guidance of Fashion Director Laura Luzardi.

A video documenting the visit has been published on the online media outlet “WWD.”

Be sure to check it out.
