The ABEMA original drama *MISS KING*, starring NON, has been nominated for the Grand Prize in the “Entertainment: Series” category at the “World Media Festival 2026,” Europe’s largest international media festival.
The festival is an international media competition founded in 2000 by the German film distribution company Intermedia. It is known as an internationally prestigious award that recognizes the artistic merit of works across various genres, including television programs, commercials, and web content.
This selection marks another major achievement, following the show’s recent nomination for the Grand Prize at the “New York Festival.”
“MISS KING,” which centers on the theme of “shogi,” has dominated the top spot on ABEMA’s drama rankings since its premiere.
NON’s passionate performance, in which he broke new ground by playing a “dark hero” for the first time in his career, has drawn keen attention from overseas fans. On Netflix, which streams the series globally, it entered the Top 10 series rankings in eight countries and regions (Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan as of October 1).
